Redeem Google Pay promos and rewards

You can redeem promos and earn rewards through different Google Pay offers. Some of these offers, like Google Pay referrals, are redeemed through Google. Others are redeemed through specific retailers.

Redeem rewards

Earn referral rewards

You can earn up to 10 referral rewards by inviting new users to Google Pay. Once the person you referred inputs the referral code and makes their first qualifying payment, both of you will receive the reward.

The reward may take up to five working days to reflect in your account.

Send a referral invitation

Note: Referrals are only available in select countries.

  1. Open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Under 'Payments', tap + Payment method.
  3. Follow the instructions to add a card.
  4. Tap ​Menu Menuand thenInvite friends.
  5. Enter the info.
  6. Tap Send.
Use a Google Pay referral code
  1. Open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and thenEnter promo code.
  3. Type in the referral code that your friend sent you. If the code is valid, you’ll see a success screen.
  4. Make your first qualifying payment.

Reward conditions

  • The referrer must have completed a transaction either in a store or online using their Google Pay account.

  • You will only receive the referral reward if the invitee uses your unique code. The person that you invite may receive invitations from multiple users. If you’re unsure why you haven’t gotten a reward, reach out to the person you referred to make sure they input your referral code before they paid for something.

Didn’t get promo offer

Some Google offers, promos, and coupons vary by customer. Your promo offers are created for your Google Pay experience and may be different from someone else’s.

Didn’t get reward

Made the required number of purchases

If you made the number of purchases required to win the reward and still didn’t get it:

  1. To make sure your purchases qualify for the promo, check the terms and conditions.
  2. Check to see if the promo is only open to new customers. This kind of promo is frequently for customers who have never bought anything using Google Pay or Android Pay.
  3. Make sure your purchases are through non-Google retailers. Purchases made on apps or websites owned by Google usually don’t count towards the reward.
Didn’t get referral credit

The code may not have been automatically entered in Google Pay. Try entering it manually instead.

  1. Open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Tap Menu Menuand thenEnter promo code.
  3. Enter your promo code.
  4. Tap Apply.
Didn’t get bank credit

If you signed up for Google Pay through a promo with your bank, contact your bank for help.

Code isn’t working

If a retailer offered you a reward code for using Google Pay and the code isn’t working, contact the retailer for help.
