Apple Developer Connection Student Program
Welcome to the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)! Some of the best Macintosh application development has come from students like you, creative young programmers with a desire to change the world. All you need are the tools and the technical resources to get started--without the high prices.

That's why we've designed an affordable developer program (only US$99/year), making it easy for students around the world to learn how to develop on the Macintosh platform. So, whether you're just beginning to explore programming on the Mac or considering a career as a Macintosh developer, the ADC Student Program is right for you!
ADC Student Program Description
Specially designed for the Student developer, this bundle provides you with a sampling of tools to get you started on developing on the Mac OS and includes the following:
  1. ADC Student Program Tools Sampler CDs
    -CodeWarrior Academic for Java from Metrowerks*
    -Macintosh Programmer's Workshop from Apple*
    -4th Dimension from ACI US, Inc.
    -BBEdit from Bare Bones Software, Inc.
    -AppMaker from Bowers Development Corp.
    -CodeWarrior Lite from Metrowerks
    -Installer VISE from MindVision Software
    -REALbasic from REAL Software, Inc.
    -MachTen CodeBuilder from Tenon Intersystems
    -Tools Plus libraries + framework from Water's Edge Software

    *These products are full versions. All other products on the Tools Sampler CD are demo versions.
  2. ADC Student Mailing Subscription
    A customized student monthly mailing which contains current technical and marketing information, including selections of the Developer CD Series.

  3. Discounts on 3rd Party Products and Developer Events

NOTE: Please note that the ADC Student Program Membership does NOT include access to the ADC Seeding Program or Technical Support. If you require these program benefits, we encourage you to consider joining the ADC Select Program which may better suit your needs.

How To Enroll
  1. Sign up online with the Apple Developer Connection for U.S. $99.
  2. After agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you must identify yourself as a student, fill in your student identification number, and write in your School Name on the "Your Information" page. To be eligible for the ADC Student Program, you must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college or university, have a student identification number, and be at least 18 years of age.

  3. Purchase the Student Developer Program. You will receive an e-mail welcoming you to the Apple Developer Connection.

    Your Membership benefits will begin as soon as your purchase has cleared. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery of your first ADC Student Orientation Kit (which includes the Tools Sampler CDs and ADC Student Mailing).
ADC Student Program Gift Certificate
Want to take advantage of all the benefits of ADC Student Program membership but don't have the finances? Simply have someone sponsor you. Your department chair, your grandparents, your uncle -- anyone can purchse an ADC Student Gift Certificate and transfer it to you. Simply log in to the ADC Member Site and redeem your ADC Student Program, and you're on your way!
