Apple provides developers with pre-release software to allow for early compatibility testing, bug reporting, and technology adoption.
To access the ADC Seeding FTP site, follow these four steps:
For more information, refer to the weekly ADC Seed Update e-mail or the FAQ.
- FTP Keys
An "FTP key" is required to access the FTP site. Each Select and Premier membership includes five FTP keys that are assigned to the owner of the account. The owner of the Select or Premier account may then transfer their additional FTP Keys to other ADC Online members at their company. The FTP keys can be used as often as needed, and they are valid for the duration of the original membership.
- ADC Seed CD
Each Select and Premier membership includes one monthly ADC Seed CD that is mailed separately to the account owner. The CD generally contains the same software that is on the FTP site, however due to the time needed for worldwide delivery, the software on the CD is often not as current as that on the FTP site.
- ADC Seed Update e-mail
The "ADC Seed Update" is an e-mail that is customized and sent weekly to all ADC members who have an FTP Key (see "FTP Keys" above). This e-mail includes personal data (from your account profile) and instructions for accessing the server. It will also include any announcements of new software posted to the server.
- Bug Reporting
For complete instructions on submitting bug reports, please see http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter.
