C Hydro International Limited

British Columbia Hydro International Limited (BCHIL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BC Hydro. BCHIL exports technical assistance and expertise in electric power project development, operations and maintenance, and power services in select Canadian and international markets.

BCHIL uses its world-class consulting expertise in off-shore projects and focuses on leveraging B.C.’s significant technical and operating expertise to the benefit of economic development in the province.


Powertech Labs:
provides testing, consulting and research services to the electric and natural gas industries, their customers and suppliers.


Westech Information Systems Inc.:
provides computer systems development and integration consulting services.


Powerex:
buys, sells and exchanges electricity.

Powerex, the British Columbia Power Exchange Corporation, is the wholly-owned electricity trade subsidiary of BC Hydro. Powerex buys, sells and exchanges electricity in the electricity trade marketplace and purchases electricity for BC Hydro's domestic use.

Powerex's trade arena extends from Manitoba in western-central Canada to California and Nevada in the south-western United States. Key trading partners include utilities, large industrial customers, cogenerators, independent power producers and marketers.
