When you search in OAIster, you're searching a wide variety of collections from a wide variety of institutions. These institutions have made the records of their digital resources available to us, and we have gathered and aggregated them into the OAIster service.

The Archives in London and the M25 Area (AIM25) is a major project to provide electronic access to collection level descriptions of the archives and manuscript collections of the principal colleges and schools of the University of London, of other universities and colleges in London and the surrounding area bounded by the M25 London orbital motorway, and of some of the royal colleges and societies of medicine and science based in London. The complete archival holdings of 49 institutions will be covered; currently, it is a work in progress.

The Caltech Earthquake Engineering Research Laboratory (EERL) was founded in the 1960s, and began publishing results of its research in a technical report series in 1970. Included in this series is some of the earliest published work on strong-motion earthquake accelerograms, and considerable research springing from the San Fernando, Whittier Narrows, Landers and Northridge earthquakes. Publication continues to the present.

The Hong Kong University Theses Online (HKUTO) collection contains theses and dissertations submitted for higher degrees to the University of Hong Kong since 1941. These include works in the arts and humanities, education, the social, medical, and natural sciences, many of them dealing entirely with or focusing on subjects relating to Hong Kong. The collection is primarily in English notwithstanding the availability of a number of Chinese titles, particularly those submitted to the Department of Chinese. The University Libraries aim to build up a comprehensive collection of HKU theses though it is understandable that a few graduates will prefer not to deposit their works in the Library.
