Environmental Initiatives

Technology Directorate is helping Real Property Services (RPS) integrate the principles of sustainable development into policies and operations. Through the Technology Development and Transfer Program, we have funded the completion of the RPS Environmental Management System (EMS) framework, as well as the transfer and implementation of EMS management tools.

Some of Technology Directorate's key roles are to demonstrate and integrate cost-effective green technologies and processes, including those outlined in the Green Office Plan, Green Building Initiatives, and Greening of PWGSC documents. As part of its ongoing demonstration of leadership in the environmental area, Technology Directorate also assists client service units in their efforts to improve environment-related service delivery.
