Ministry of Sustainable Resource Management

Skeena Region

The Ministry of Sustainable Resource Management (MSRM), Skeena Region, is located in the north west quarter of British Columbia and is approximately 27 million hectares in size. The land base encompasses the Skeena, Nass and Stikine watersheds. Administration is based out of our office in Smithers.

The MSRM Skeena region strives towards Sustainable Economic Development of the region's land, water and resources by providing;

  • Strategic Planning,
  • Integrated Land and Resource Information,
  • Land and Water Management, and
  • Sound Governance and Organizational Excellence
The Ministry and the Skeena region are committed to achieving these goals in a more timely manner than previously experienced while still maintaining sound processes and improving the quality of end products. The four primary departments listed below work hand in hand to achieve these common goals.
