I’m Having Trouble With Notifications in Twitter for Android

Twitter for Android offers push notifications for mentions and messages, as well as standard notifications for new Tweets. To change your notification settings:

1. From the home timeline, press the menu button and then tap the Settings icon
2. Select an account
3. From the account settings menu, you can chose to receive notifications for new Tweets, mentions from everyone or just people you follow, and messages

Not receiving New Tweets notifications?

• The notification for new Tweets relies on the automatic refresh setting and interval. The interval can be set in the account settings menu.
• If you are not seeing notifications for new Tweets, please go to the accounts settings on your device and remove your Twitter account. You can access the accounts settings through the general settings menu for your device. After you have removed your account, re-add and make sure you have enabled the Sync Twitter option. Then, reopen the Twitter app, sign in if prompted, and change your notification settings.

Not receiving mentions or messages notifications?

If you have enabled push notifications for new mentions or new messages and are not receiving notifications please file a ticket and include the following information:

• What notification you are not receiving (mention or messages?)
• If you are not receiving any notifications or all notifications (consistent or intermittent?)
• Details about your device and Android OS
