pricing structure : what will the webbler cost?

 

The power of the webbler is in its flexibility and modularity. This is reflected in the cost. It means you pay for what you want and use rather than a whole list of functionality that you don't.

The webbler is offered in two-parts - the core webbler and what we call plug-ins. This means the webbler can offer a wide variety of functionality and modularity to suit your needs. The basic webbler will power a standard website but if you want to add image library functionality, bulletin-boards or deploy advanced menus then you can, in effect, bolt-on the relevant plug-in.

There are FOUR elements to our pricing structure in delivering a webbler powered site:

  1. HOSTING
  2. The webbler has some specific server requirements and configuration. For this reason and additionally for those associated with the ease of upgrading and maintaining a comprehensive and secure version of the webbler - we prefer to provide hosting ourselves.

    Costs:
    This is based on the webbler package that you choose - apart from the core webbler there are the wide range of modules or plug-ins that you can add-on.

    • Basic webbler lite (no plug-ins): £800 per year
    • Basic webbler and up to 3 plug-ins: £1 000 per year
    • Basic webbler and 3+ plug-ins: £1 250 per year

    Hosting can be supplied to a client or reseller's machine independent of tincan - this would require a special arrangement in terms of access, agreement and costing.

  3. IMPLEMENTATION
  4. This is broken down into four elements:

    1. License
    2. Package
    3. Template production
    4. Production of information architecture

    1. License - Cost: This is a one-off fee of £850
    2. Package
    3. The webbler is offered in two-parts - the core webbler and what we call Plug-ins. This means the webbler can offer a wide variety of functionality and modularity to suit your needs. The basic webbler will power a standard website but if you want to add image library functionality, bulletin-boards or deploy advanced menus then you need the relevant plug-in configured and deployed.

      So, since each package is modular so too is the costing of that package. You only pay for what you want and get.

      Advanced Mailing List:£100 installation and £25 per month (< 5000 messages and £5 per extra 1000 messages)
      BBS:£350 + £10 per month

    4. Template production
    5. Templates contain page elements and define the look and feel of the front-end.

    6. Production of information architecture
    7. This is the setting up of the website structure; configuring document fields and elements, and generally making the pages do what they are supposed to do.

  5. CONSULTATION + PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  6. This covers the required inputs into the creative process, communication and discussion of the project and general consultation and project management.

    Costs:
    From £1 500. This equates to 5 days in total. Beyond this point we will negotiate directly with you.

  7. TRAINING
  8. We believe that the webbler is extremely intuitive and once beyond a basic level of understanding it is easy and straightforward to carry out the vast majority of tasks. Even the more advanced tasks are, with the correct pointers, relatively easy to carry out.

    To this end our training package starts with our free online help and online documentation we have written.

    Beyond this we offer a free 10 day post-launch support service where we will field and reply to any queries and issues you may have in using your new webbler. This support service is intended as a means of easing you into the webbler and your site so that you can bridge the gap between the launch of your site and actually getting on with developing and maintaining it!

    However, we do offer on-site training for both standard and advanced webbler administration. This is typically delivered on a ratio of one trainer to a maximum of three trainees in half-day slots.

    Costs: £750 per day

Once your site has launched we do not see that as an ending - more of a beginning. We offer additional levels of support to meet the different needs of our clients. Depending on the in-house knowledge of your organisation you may find using our support service to be beneficial to your new online solution.
