The Army High Performance Computing (HPC) Research
Center's mission is to
conduct computational science research leading
to the development
of computational tools for addressing defense technology issues.
The Center also develops and conducts educational
programs in computational science
for future researchers and for researchers already in the field. It
operates a state of the art computational environment
to serve as a magnet for
attracting the best educators and researchers in computational science and
engineering.
These Webpages provide a synopsis of Army
HPC Research Center activities.
Featured below is one of those activities, a collaborative research project
between university and Army researchers, to provide improved computational
tools for designing ram air parachutes. The movie
shows the pressure distribution on the surface of the structured mesh.
