Role

The Role of the Artillery is to assist in the defeat of the enemy with indirect fire as part of the all arms battle.

 

 

         Mission

TO GENERATE A MULTI-PURPOSE, COMBAT EFFECTIVE, CLOSE SUPPORT ARTILLERY REGIMENT IN ORDER TO PROVIDE COMD 1CMBG AND HIS COMBINED ARMS WAR FIGHTING TEAMS THE REQUISITE FIRE SUPPORT AND COORDINATION, ON TIME, ON TARGET.

 

         Organization

1 RCHA is organized into 3 Gun Batteries (A,B, and C) and a Headquarters and Services Battery. A and B Batteries are medium close support gun batteries utilizing the M109A4+ self-propelled howitzer. C Battery is a close support light gun Battery using the LG 1towed howitzer. Headquarter and Services Battery contains Maintenance Troop, Signal Troop, the Regimental Quartermaster, Regimental Headquarters, the Regimental Orderly Room, and the Regimental Transport Section.
