National Lottery Project Grants

Our open access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects.

Who can apply: Individual artists and practictioners, community and cultural organisations, museums and libraries.

What you can apply for: Arts, museums and libraries projects that engage people in England with creativity and culture.

Key dates: National Lottery Project Grants is open all the time, there are no deadlines.

Capital Investment Programme

The Capital Investment Programme is an open access programme to support cultural organisations to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic and improve access, seize on technological opportunities, and reduce environmental impact.

Who can apply: Not-for-profit cultural organisations based in England who are able to clearly demonstrate that their primary aims are around culture, and that the activities they are applying for fall within the remit of Arts Council England. 

What you can apply for: Capital expenditure to support cultural organisations to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic, improve access, seize on technological opportunities, and reduce environmental impact.

Key dates: The online Expression of Interest form will be open on Grantium between 12 noon on 5 October 2021 and 12 noon on 26 October 2021. 

The online application form will open on Grantium between 12 noon on 10 November 2021 and 12 noon on 13 December 2021.

Our National Portfolio is a group of organisations that gets regular funding from us, and in return provides a backbone of creative and cultural provision across the country, and plays a major role in helping us realise our new strategy, Let’s Create.

This fund supports Individual cultural and creative practitioners thinking of taking their practice to the next stage through things such as: research, time to create new work, travel, training, developing ideas, networking or mentoring.

Culture Recovery Fund: Repayable Finance

Round 1: £270 million for long-term loans of £3 million plus. Open to charitable and commercial organisations that are properly constituted with a governing document.

Round 2: Loans of £1 million for commercial and publicly-funded cultural organisations operating within the arts, museums, heritage and sectors, including cinemas.
