The University of Bath has over 750 full-time international students from over 70 countries.

The International Office is always available for help, advice and information; we also arrange an introductory programme before the start of each year.
The University has a full range of welfare and support services, including the Office of the Dean of Students, the Medical and Dental Centre, the Student Counsellor and the Welfare and Education Units of the Student' Union.

Students must be able to speak, write and understand English adequately in order to follow their chosen course. Evidence of proficiency will be required; as a guide this means an IELTS score of 6, a TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent.
The English Language Centre offers a wide range of Full-year and Pre-sessional courses in English for Academic Purposes and Study Skills. Thre are also courses for students during their academic studies.
The University of Bath participates actively in many European Programmes, including ERASMUS/SOCRATES, LEONARDO and TEMPUS.
The University welcomes Study Abroad students for periods of one or two terms or for a year. For further information contact the International Office.
The University has extensive exchanges with Universities in many countries. In Europe most exchanges are under the SOCRATES/ERASMUS programme. In North America our exchange partners include Penn State University, Purdue University, University of Richmond, University of Texas at Austin and the University of Virginia in the USA, and HEC in Montreal and York University in Canada.
Bath degrees offered in other countries include our MBA taught in cooperation with the Malaysian Institute of Management. We also offer Distance Learning Masters' Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas (through the Centre for Continuing Education) and an MA in Education (through the School of Education).
