Viewpoint Technologies appointed an “Official Supplier” of the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane 

Victoria, B.C. - Viewpoint Technologies Ltd. has been appointed the “Official Supplier of Games Enabling Systems for the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane”.  The Victoria, British Columbia firm specializes in software and implementation solutions for special events.

Viewpoint’s cost-control and project reporting system, ViewPLAN©, has been operating in the 2001Goodwill Games office for over two years.  It is designed to keep track of all budgets, commitments, forecasts and expenditures.  ViewTEAM© will manage the registration and accreditation needs for 15,000 Games Family members, as well as track the placement and requirements for over 3,000 volunteers.  ViewLOGISTICS©, a dynamic Materials Management system, will be used to track all of the assets required by the Games.

The 2001 Goodwill Games, to be held August 29th – September 9th, will be one of the highest profile sporting events on the globe, featuring elite athletes and millions of dollars in prize money.

Clients currently operating Viewpoint systems include the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton, the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and the 2010 Vancouver/Whistler Olympic Bid.  A recent success story, viewLOGISTICS© was used for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.  Past clients have included the ‘98 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, ‘99 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, APEC ‘97 in Vancouver, and the ‘97 Indigenous Games in Victoria.
