Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

spinning gold circle  The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was enacted in 1966 to provide people a means to access federal agency records, with the exception of those excluded from consideration under the FOIA or protected by one of nine FOIA exemptions.
