Jean-Jacques Rousseau nominated as Director of CERCA

I am pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of the Centre de recherche en calcul appliqué (CERCA) has nominated Mr. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, ing., as Director of the CERCA for a five-year mandate.

Mr. Rousseau, presently Vice-President, Business Development, Milrail Inc., has been mainly involved in the organization and promotion of scientific research and technological development. He has worked at the levels of the Government of Canada (Communications Research Centre; Assistant Secretary of the National Advisory Board on Science and Technology, NABST), of universities (Telecommunications Research Institute of Ontario, TRIO), and of industry (Network Sciences International, NSI, in addition to Milrail).

Mr. Rousseau will take up his post at CERCA on December 14, 1998.
