Important Dates for Applicants


September 26, 1997
Applicants who will take the paper-pencil version of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) must register by this date for the November 1 test.

November 1, 1997
Applicants who take the GRE paper-pencil version should do so on or before this date in order to guarantee that scores reach us by our deadline.

November 15, 1997
Last Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administration for Yale Graduate School applicants. Scores from tests taken after this date will arrive after our deadline. Late receipt of scores will jeopardize the application.

December 1, 1997
Applications received by Yale by this date may pay a reduced application fee of $45.00.

Early December 1997
Applicants who take the computer version of the GRE should do so by early December in order to guarantee that scores reach us by our deadline.

January 2, 1998
Deadline for receipt of applications and supporting materials by Yale.

March 15 - April 1, 1998
In most cases, admissions decisions are mailed to applicants during this period. Only letters sent directly from the Graduate School may be considered official or reliable notifications of admissions decisions.

April 15, 1998
Deadline for responding to offers of admission made before this date.
