The Chilbolton Observatory is south of Andover. It was founded in 1964 and is now part of the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils. The Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC) is responsible for one of Europe's largest multidisciplinary research support organisations, the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CLRC). Its facilities and expertise support the work of more than 12000 scientists and engineers from around the world, both in universities and in industry. |
