COMDEX/Japan '97 attracts record-breaking 80,000

As the week came to a close in Tokyo, it was clear that the first ever COMDEX/Japan event had exceeded everyone’s expectations. In its inaugural four days, more than 80,000 qualified information technology business professionals packed the halls of the Nippon Convention Center.

Designed exclusively as a "business-to-business trade only" Exposition and Conference, COMDEX/Japan featured more than 300 exhibiting organizations, showcasing the IT industry's latest and most important products and value-added services. Over 1500 new products were offered in demonstrations and business discussions, with additional product enhancements of thousands more.

And the full conference program, featuring IT executives from many of the industry's leading companies, highlighted the many unique elements of COMDEX/Japan '97, many of which have never been experienced in any Japanese exposition and conference.

COMDEX/Japan '98, scheduled for April 6-9, is projected to be substantially larger than this successful 1997 premiere. And planning is already underway.

For information on exhibiting or attending, 1998 event is available from SOFTBANK Expos-Japan, or online at http://www.sbexpos.co.jp.

COMDEX/Japan '98 is a joint venture alliance between SOFTBANK COMDEX, Inc. and SOFTBANK Expos Japan.
