WonderCon Heads Back to San Francisco as the First Big Comics Event of 2005!

WonderCon returns to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, but with a date change. Instead of the traditional April dates, WonderCon will be two months earlier: February 18-20, Presidents' Day weekend. WonderCon will be the first major comics show of the year. Best of all, you can register online and save money! Click here to register online!

WonderCon has continued to grow since its move from Oakland to San Francisco two years ago. Last year, Hollywood discovered the show, big-time, with such studios as Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Lucasfilm, and Warner Brothers Animation all showcasing major presentations on upcoming films (click here to see what you missed last year). With its tradition of great comic company involvement and this Hollywood presence, attendance increased to over 10,000 people in 2004.

The Argent Hotel - Room with Bay View

WonderCon's Headquarters Hotel:
The Argent Hotel
Part of the appeal is the location of the event: San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and Moscone Center is in the heart of the city, surrounded by great restaurants, theaters, galleries and museums (including the Cartoon Art Museum, which is just a few blocks from the Center). Fisherman's Wharf is a short, fun cable car ride away, and WonderCon's headquarters hotel, The Argent, is just two blocks from the Center, and a beautiful place to stay with a great weekend rate (click here for more hotel information).

One of the best things about WonderCon is its friendly atmosphere. Many professionals find it to be an intimate, fun event where they can see their friends and greet their fans (click here for comments from some of comics' leading professionals and former WonderCon guests).

And WonderCon offers three terrific ways for exhibitors and pros to present their work to the attendees: standard 10' x 10' booths, small press tables, and Artists' Alley tables (click here for more information and to download an exhibitor application).
