Using the form
Before suggesting a website to be added
to our database, please check the site is not already listed by searching
for it in our homepage.
Please note we only list Australian cultural
and recreation websites.
If it's not listed, simply fill in all fields
in the suggest a website to our database form and
click on the 'Submit' button at the end of the form.
The 'description' of your website should
be concise and describe the content displayed on your website.
You may add your website to multiple
categories if necessary.
To do this:
- On a PC hold down the 'Control' key
and then click on the second and successive categories.
- On a Macintosh hold down the
'Command' key and then click on the second and successive
categories.
Please fill in your name and contact details
in case we need to contact you. This information will not be displayed.
We will, however, use the email address you supply
to send you an electronic newsletter about upcoming changes to the portal
and other information of interest to websites contributing to the Culture
and Recreation Portal.
If you make a mistake filling in the
form, click the 'Clear form' button, and then make your corrections
before submitting the form.
Processing
Forms are usually processed in
batches once each business day.
Our content team will review your website, and,
if it conforms to our Add your website policy, it
will be listed and appear when searched for from our homepage.
Depending on the time of day we receive
the suggestion, listing may not occur until the next business day.
If a site is also to be indexed this may take
a further one or two business days to complete. You (and everyone else)
will then be able to search our index of your site using the search form
on our homepage. The cultural search engine is
also accessible from the banner on every screen on the site!

Once you are listed and indexed on the Culture
and Recreation Portal you are eligible to take advantage of the
free search facility which will enable your
users to search your website or the the Culture and Recreation Portal website
- all from your website. We provide six different search options
which you can use either individually or in combination.
