Welcome to the European Food Safety Authority

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is the keystone of European Union (EU) risk assessment regarding food and feed safety. In close collaboration with national authorities and in open consultation with its stakeholders, EFSA provides independent scientific advice and clear communication on existing and emerging risks.

On MONDAY JULY 3, the EFSA website address and emails have changed to http:/www.efsa.europa.eu/ and firstname.lastname@efsa.europa.eu. The old website address and emails will, however, remain active until May 2007. Please update your bookmarks and address books accordingly. For more information, click here
