Article 36 of EFSA’s Founding Regulation allows the Authority to financially support projects and activities that contribute to EFSA’s mission through grants. Activities include data collection, preparatory work for the development of scientific opinions, and other scientific and technical support. Grants can exclusively be given to a pre-defined list of organisations, based of nominations made by Member States.
