Aspartame: EFSA presents results of its evaluation of a new study
The Scientific Panel on Food Additives, Flavourings, Processing Aids and Materials in Contact with Food (AFC) of the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) has carried out an assessment of the new carcinogenicity study on the sweetener aspartame by the Ramazzini Foundation in Bologna. On 5 May 2006, EFSA has presented the AFC Panel’s conclusions at a press conference in Rome.
