Membres du comité scientifique

Le comité scientifique rassemble des experts hautement qualifiés en évaluation des risques, issus de différentes nationalités européennes et possédant une expertise dans les divers domaines pertinents. Le comité est composé des présidents des groupes scientifiques de l'EFSA assistés de six scientifiques indépendants.

Les membres du comité scientifique sont désignés par le conseil d’administration de l'EFSA pour un mandat de trois ans, renouvelable. Les nominations reposent sur l’excellence scientifique avérée des candidats à la suite d’un appel public à candidatures et d’une procédure de sélection rigoureuse. Le comité scientifique met régulièrement en place des groupes de travail qui font appel à des scientifiques externes disposant de l’expertise nécessaire pour traiter de questions spécifiques et contribuer à formuler des avis scientifiques. Tous les experts travaillant pour l’EFSA signent une déclaration d’intérêts afin de respecter l’engagement de l’EFSA en matière d’indépendance.
