Location

Westmount High School is located near the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Greene in Westmount. It is easily accessible by the Atwater Metro, and bus #90 from the Vendôme Metro/Train Station.

Philosophy/Objectives

At Westmount High, students are encouraged to strive for the highest level of academic achievement in a variety of challenging programs. The school’s primary goal is to serve students’ needs, while developing their self-discipline and respect for each other. This creates a safe and effective learning environment.

  • First public high school offering Advanced Placement Courses.
  • New schedule format.
  • Innovative course at the Secondary I level - Cycle I, helping students develop organizational and study skills and good note-taking techniques.
  • Comprehensive French program leading to a Bilingual Certificate.
  • Enriched classes in Math, English and French, as well as special classes for students needing support.
  • Step 120, an educational clinic for students who are excelling or who need extra help.
  • Elective subjects including Art, Music, Computer Science, Wood Work, Business Education and Sports Leadership.
