Come home to Rideau Hall.

Where every Governor General has worked and lived since Canada's birth in 1867. Where exceptional Canadians are honoured. Where world leaders and visitors from around the globe are welcome. Where people from across Canada are at home.

Rideau Hall awaits you. History and tradition come alive. Yesterday meets today.

Throughout the year, tours of Rideau Hall give you a chance to walk through Canada's history. Guided tours are free and last 45 minutes, and the grounds are open from 8 a.m. to one hour prior to sunset. If you have a group of ten people or more, we ask that you make a reservation 48 hours in advance by calling (613) 991-4422 or 1-866-842-4422. And we offer specialized tours.

Hours for tours of the residences:

May 18 to June 23, 2002: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

June 24 to September 2, 2002: Daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

September 3 to October 27, 2002: Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The rest of the year by reservation only.

Tours are offered on statutory holidays from May to October.

Rideau Hall is a working residence and official events may require unforeseen changes to your visit.
