Become a Rideau Hall Guide/InterpreterAre you a student looking for a unique challenge? Working as a Rideau Hall guide/interpreter is an exciting and rewarding experience for students from across Canada. As a guide/interpreter, you will be one of Rideau Hall's front-line ambassadors, welcoming more than 150,000 visitors each year from every region of Canada and around the world. You will bring the residence and grounds to life for the public by giving residence, art and garden tours, offering interpretation activities and period costume animation, providing orientation and interpretation services and offering special tours to visiting dignitaries. What are the qualifications? To be successful you must be a Canadian citizen, bilingual (French and English), and registered for full-time studies in the coming fall. A good knowledge of Canadian history is an asset, as is experience in historical interpretation for public groups, including children. You will find your Rideau Hall experience particularly interesting and relevant to future career options.
