All letters addressed to the RoA Government are received by the General Division of the Staff of the RoA Government, which always records and later analyzes such correspondence. The respective divisions of the Staff discuss the suggestions, requests, and complaints contained in such letters and report their findings to the RoA Prime Minister. Some of the suggestions, requests, and complaints are forwarded in the form of assignments to the respective public agencies, institutions, and organizations, which are directly responsible for the issues raised. Thereafter, the applicant is given immediate notice in accordance with the RoA Law on the Procedure of Reviewing Suggestions, Applications, and Complaints of Citizens. A response is given to every single letter within a maximum of one month after its receipt; in the event the request or complaint does not need to be studied and checked additionally, a response is sent within 15 days. The Secretariat of the Staff monitors the suggestions, requests, and complaints of citizens. All the recorded letters are stored in a database.
