HAGEN NAMED MINISTER

The Honourable Stan Hagen was appointed Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts on Aug. 15, 2006. Mr. Hagen had previously served as Minister of Children and Family Development, Minister of Human Resources and Minister of Sustainable Resource Management.

$40,000 FOR COTTONWOOD HOUSE HISTORIC SITE PROGRAMS

QUESNEL – The provincial government is providing a $40,000 grant to School District 28 for the continued operation of its visitor programs at the Cottonwood House Historic Site, Tourism, Sport and the Arts Minister Stan Hagen announced.

CACHE CREEK – The provincial government is providing a total of $56,000 in grants to help rehabilitate and upgrade the historic Hat Creek Ranch in preparation for B.C.’s 150th anniversary, Tourism, Sport and the Arts Minister Olga Ilich announced today.

KEREMEOS – The provincial government is providing a $15,000 grant to help upgrade the heritage gardens and gardening program at the Grist Mill and Gardens at Keremeos, Tourism, Sport and the Arts Minister Olga Ilich announced today.
