DOUGLAS COLLEGE TO ADD 1,500 NEW STUDENT SPACES
 
NEW WESTMINSTER – The Province will add 1,500 new student spaces at Douglas College by 2010, creating new education and job opportunities for students in New Westminster as well as Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and the Fraser Valley region, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

VICTORIA – The provincial government today paid tribute to the work of The Royal Canadian Legion in B.C. and the Yukon by proclaiming June 25 to 30 - the six-day period preceding Canada Day - as Legion Week. B.C. is the second province in Canada, after Ontario, to so honor the veterans’ organization.
