many expanded services that help vendors to better sell their products.
Kagi's low industry rates are an anomaly when considered with our trusted and reliable service. We have recently simplified our rate structure, and for many vendors this means even lower rates. 10% of the transaction ($2.50 minimum) or 5% plus $5 per transaction whichever is less. Refunds:
When a refund is authorized for a customer, Kagi refunds the customer
and debits the vendor account for the full product price. There are
no handling fees or other charges.
Kagi's new volume discount plan rewards vendors who reach their highest sales goals.

We maintain multiple Internet connections resulting in an average uptime of 99.86% and our website is built on WebObjects for scalability. Our substantial history with transactions has enabled us to develop highly effective fraud screening capabilities.

We have enjoyed a very loyal following from our vendors, who tell us that after reliability and security, what they value most is the effort we put into servicing our vendors and their customers. Kagi
accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
Optima, Discover (Novus), Diner's Club, Eurocard, Carte Blanche, JCB).
Our vendors can query our database at any time to gather information about customers, sales and products. The queried data can automatically be emailed to the vendor.
Kagi offers multiple options for registration and/or licensing of your products. We can provide serial numbers or registration codes to your customers in multiple ways: statically, dynamically (we host or you host), via download or via an email from the Vendor. We generate a single user license, site license, world license, bonus license, upgrade license or special license. Choose the registration method that works best for you.
Our
vendors can set-up, modify and add products at any time. You have complete
control over product ordering pages, pricing, distribution/delivery
options and post-sale customer acknowledgments.

Your Kagi order page can include questions which you may want to ask your customers to learn more about them, or to get feedback on your products and services. The answers to these questions will be included in the vendor e-mail which you receive after each transaction is completed. They can be:

Kagi vendors can customize their order pages to conform to the look and feel of their web site. Customizing your order pages will let your customer think that they have never left your site. You may also want to have the text on your customer's credit card bill be customized to display your company name. Our custom order page fee is $20 per month, which includes the custom credit card statement text. For further information please read the FAQ.
Your customer will receive an e-mail after each order which includes an order confirmation and "Thank you" message. You may customize the message by product or license. You may also include information about product installation or set-up. (A postal receipt can be mailed for an additional fee to the customer).
Kagi offers
a new feature that enables our vendors to participate in approving an
order. If you choose this service you will be notified via email that
a sale is in progress. You can approve or deny that sale via an easy
html link. This feature is helpful for inventory control as well as
offering an additional level of fraud control.
One of
the challenges online payment services face are non intentional duplicate
orders from customers. To the vendor this might be added cost and hassle.
Kagi has created a feature which allows vendors to decide which products
can be purchased multiple times. We call this feature our "Duplicate
Order Filters". By default we allow a product to be purchased once per
day with a credit card. However, if a duplicate order is detected, it
will only be processed once the customer approves it.
If your
product needs to be fulfilled on a CD you may want to work with one
of Kagi's partners. You are free to choose the partner with the services
and pricing that best fits your need. Kagi will pay the partner automatically

Our
system allows you to apply a 'Good Customer Discount' to your products.
The discount is applied with a predefined percentage. You are able to
choose the products that participate in this discount offer. This feature
has 2 kinds of triggers:
KART is free proprietary Kagi technology that reduces the steps required
by a customer on the Internet to convert "try before you buy" software
on their computer to the full featured registered version.
Kagi processes orders 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Credit card orders are completed in less than one minute. Kagi utilizes the Verisign Digital ID for all secure transactions. For information on what it means to be a VeriSign Authentic Site or how to view our certificate click the seal.
Kagi supports
shopping cart software although this procedure requires an understanding
of HTML and CGI technologies. You or your webmaster can integrate your
shopping cart software running on your webserver with Kagi's checkout
page (r2.cgi). For more details click

Our vendors can place a test order at any time. You will see what the customer experiences when placing an order for your product, and receive the e-mail acknowledgment your customer receives when the transaction is complete.
Kagi vendors receive a monthly statement that includes customer name, product purchased, serial number, price and order date. Normally, vendor payments are sent within 3 weeks after month's end. You can choose to be paid in the following ways.
You may choose to set a monthly threshold because processing a check may occasionally exceed or negate the value of that check (common with foreign checks). You can establish a minimum payment threshold. We will defer issuing a check until the next payment cycle that meets your minimum threshold. * Your
foreign bank may charge extra fees for a US check.
Kagi does
not charge up front or monthly fees and does not require that our vendors
use only one payment processing service. For some vendors, it may make
sense to have a "back-up" service listed on your website. If you are
currently with another on-line processor, please consider trying Kagi
as well. We hope to earn the right to be your primary service. The Kagi
name is recognized by literally millions of customers and represents
high integrity and reliable service.
There are two flavors of affiliate tracking systems: those that want a pass through reference and those that use a cookie on your customer's browser. The Kagi Online Order Processing system supports both. There is no extra cost to the vendor for Affiliate tracking support with most Affiliate tracking sites.
Creating a world-class product often requires many people or companies working together. Kagi makes it easy to split royalties between such collaborators. For instance, there may be a translator and graphic artist who have worked with your coding to complete a product. You tell us how the funds from each sale are to be allocated. We handle all the accounting and fund transfers.

This
is a unique feature to track customers and orders from other payment
processors in one secure place. This is done via email order notifications.
If your alternate payment processor is not supported at this time, let
us know and we will gladly add them to our system. If you use multiple
processors, we can be the central database for all your transactions.
Kagi CD Trialware Collection is a CD-ROM which makes available shareware, trialware, and demoware from Kagi vendors. The CD is sold from vendor order pages and marketed at trade shows and events. Every Kagi vendor is invited to submit up to 5 products, averaging 5 MB, to be included in the upcoming quarterly publication of the CD. There is no cost to participate. Your products will reach a larger audience, and most importantly reach people who typically purchase electronically from Kagi vendors.
