Internet Explorer offers a host of suite components and add-ons to enhance your experience on the Internet.
To add components that you didn't include when you originally downloaded Internet Explorer 4.0, check the instructions for your operating system in the list below.
Windows 98
To install additional components, go to the Windows Update Product Updates page -- this page will automatically detect which Windows 98 features
are not installed on your computer. It will also notify you of Windows 98 components that you already have on your computer, and allow you to uninstall them if you want.
Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0
To install additional components, simply go to the Internet Explorer 4.0 Components Download page -- this page will automatically detect which components you
haven't installed on your computer. It will also notify you of updates of Internet Explorer components that you already have on your system.
Macintosh
Outlook Express, Personal Web Server, NetShow, Essential and Suplemental Web Fonts are
available for download as add-ons to Internet Explorer 4.01 for
Macintosh. To add these components, download and run the Active Setup Installer and choose Custom Install. Choose the add-ons you wish to download and choose Next.

Windows 3.1 and Windows NT 3.51
To get components you did not install when you first installed Internet Explorer 4.0, simply re-run Internet Explorer 4.0 Setup. The following add-on to Internet Explorer 4.0 for Windows 3.1 and Windows NT 3.51 is available for download:
- Pan-European Language Pack: Gives Internet Explorer 4.0 the ability to display Cyrillic, Turkish, Greek, and Central European characters
