Alan Chapell

Chapell & Associates, President (representing Eyeota)

Alan Chapell acts as Eyeota's lead privacy counsel and assists to ensure Eyeota meets all GDPR and local privacy regulation policies.

Alan Chapell began his career at a boutique direct marketing agency in Connecticut. In 1996, he founded the privacy program at Jupiter Research, an Internet research firm. After his tenure at Jupiter, Chapell helped develop DoubleClick's research product suite. He founded Chapell & Associates in October of 2003. Over the past 16 years, Chapell has worked with dozens of premium adtech and martech companies as outside counsel and privacy advisor. Chapell graduated from the University of Connecticut and Fordham University School of Law and is a member of the New York bar as well as a Certified Information Privacy Professional. He’s also a sought after speaker and a regulator contributor to Adexchanger and other publications.

Dana Edwards

Engine Group, SVP

Dana Edwards is a graduate of Fordham Law School with 20 years experience in commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate taxes. She is an SVP at Engine Group in New York and was previously with Interpublic. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, the AICPA, and holds the CIPM and CIPP/E privacy certifications. Outside of work she is a mom of two children, lives in Chappaqua New York, and teaches skiing to beginners in the winter at Ski Butternut in Massachusetts.

Douglas Miller

(Board Chairman), Verizon Media, Vice President and Global Privacy Leader

Douglas Miller is Vice President, Global Privacy and Trust for Verizon Media (fka Oath Inc.), the amalgamation of AOL and Yahoo. In this role he develops privacy strategy and external messaging on privacy for the company, interprets public policy developments for the operational privacy team, and advocates in state capitals, Washington DC, and around the world for Verizon Media’s perspective and interests. He was previously Global Privacy Leader for Oath, leading operational privacy and compliance for the combined entity of AOL and Yahoo and its many brands. He has been a privacy professional for over twenty years, and led the privacy team at AOL since 2008. He serves as Board Chair of the Network Advertising Initiative and as chair of the Working Group on Digital Media of the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Marketing and Advertising.

Duncan McCall

PlaceIQ, CEO and Co-Founder

Duncan McCall is the CEO and co-founder of PlaceIQ, the leading location-intelligence company that helps brands make better marketing and business decisions. As a serial innovator, Duncan is credited with inventing the concept of joining movement data to a dynamic map of the real world to offer new context for a new level of understanding - allowing brands, marketers, and enterprises to transform their insight into customers and markets. PlaceIQ’s data is harnessed for mission critical business strategies by the top companies in retail, dining, auto, and more. Duncan is also a widely sought-after speaker on the topic of leveraging location-intelligent data. Prior to PlaceIQ, Duncan founded and led a venture backed consumer Internet business with the goal of enabling and empowering users of location aware devices. Duncan also built and led IS Solutions Inc., a premier Silicon Valley based System Integrator. His time spent working on RFID and universal positioning startups would later be the foundation on which PlaceIQ was built. Outside of the startup world, Duncan has also made an impact for one of the world's largest organizations in working for ExxonMobil, in the UK and Asia. Fiona Campbell-Webster

Chief Privacy Officer at MediaMath

Fiona Campbell-Webster, Esq, CIPP-E is Chief Privacy Officer at MediaMath and sits on MediaMath’s Legal/Data Policy & Governance team as the legal lead for Privacy, Identity & Data Use.

In her role, she is responsible for defining the privacy program and strategic policies and processes around privacy, data use, identity and compliance to ensure data is used in ethical, privacy-friendly ways that support MediaMath’s growth while honoring global data protection laws and self-regulatory obligations. Fiona has advised various Adtech companies and provided legal advice in privacy & digital marketing for 10 years. Previous to MediaMath, Fiona was Head Legal Counsel and DPO at Beeswax (DSP), and prior to that first and sole legal counsel and DPO at TripleLift (SSP). 

Ghita Harris-Newton

Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy, Google

Ghita is the Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Ads & Commerce at Google, where she leads the team of public policy experts dedicated to supporting Google’s Ads and Commerce businesses. She has over 20 years of legal and policy experience with particular expertise in digital advertising, privacy and technology. Prior to joining Google, Ghita was the Chief Privacy Officer and VP of Legal at Quantcast. She has also worked at Yahoo, as the Assistant General Counsel and Global Head of Privacy Law & Privacy Policy, in private practice, and in U.S. Federal District Court. Ghita has a JD, Magna Cum Laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Mass Communications, Summa Cum Laude, from James Madison University.

Ken Dreifach

ZwillGen, Share holder (representing Adroll)

Ken Dreifach sits on the NAI board on behalf of AdRoll, the retargeting and prospecting platform. Since 2000, Ken has served in a variety of high-profile roles in the digital advertising landscape: as a regulator, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, and currently as outside counsel to numerous NAI members and other web-based, mobile, and data services companies.

As LiveRamp’s General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer from 2010 to 2015, Ken helped pioneer the data “onboarding” model and privacy best practices related to it. Prior to that, Ken was Chief of the New York Attorney General’s Internet Bureau, where, among other privacy enforcement actions, he oversaw the investigation and settlement arising from DoubleClick’s purchase of Abacus, which set a key precedent regarding online data “merger” practices. Ken began his career as a judicial clerk for Judge Phyllis Kravitch (U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit) after graduating from NYU School of Law.

Markus Ruhl

Global Data Privacy Officer, Publicis Groupe

Markus Ruhl is Publicis Groupe´s Global Data Privacy Officer as well as the Data Protection Officer of various Publicis Groupe companies in accordance with GDPR. He runs Publicis Groupe´s Global Data Privacy Office, which oversees the Groupe´s global data privacy program and strategy ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy laws worldwide. Markus is a German qualified attorney with over 20+ years of experience in various industries. He has worked for many years on emerging technologies, policy and global privacy issues, and spoken at privacy and security conferences. Markus holds the CIPP/E and CIPM privacy certifications and is a member of IAB Europe´s Transparency and Consent Framework Steering Committee.

Paul Harrison

Simpli.fi, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Paul Harrison is a founding member of Simpli.fi, and holds the position of Chief Technology Officer. In this capacity he drives and oversees the development of Simpli.fi's proprietary technology.

Prior to Simpli.fi, Harrison served as Chief Technology Officer of Collective, and was responsible for the development of the AMP Platform. Previously, he was a founding member, President, and Chief Technology Officer for Personifi, where he set the technological vision for the company. With over 20 years of experience, Harrison brings strategic insight to Simpli.fi from various perspectives, including operations, technology, and compliance. He has founded/held key leadership roles at numerous entities including Mejoris, Lexica, InsureZone, and Mednet Connect.

Harrison holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He served as an adjunct professor at Harding University for 8 years, where he taught International Business and Multi-National Business.

Tamera Reynolds

GroupM, Associate General Counsel N.A., Senior Partner

Tamera is Associate General Counsel for GroupM Worldwide. In this role, she is responsible for strategic tech and data partnerships, data privacy and compliance across GroupM and a collection of GroupM agencies. Tamera joined the GroupM Central Legal Team from Xaxis, where she served as VP, Global Legal Counsel for over 3 years. While at Xaxis, she led (and continues to lead) legal and privacy support across a broad range of business functions including technology partnerships, intellectual property, privacy, and new business and policy initiatives. Prior to joining Xaxis, Tamera served as VP, Business and Legal Affairs at Mode Media for over 8 years and was responsible for management of the legal services function. In between several years of law firm life in Colorado and New York and in-house counsel life, Tamera co-founded a digital media and lifestyle website targeting African American women where she served as COO and a Board Director. Tamera received a B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University and a J.D. from the University of Colorado. She is the proud mother of a young daughter that she only half-jokingly says often tests her negotiation skills. As a quarantine hobby, Tamera has decided to challenge the right side of her brain and is learning to play the piano.
