Using satellite delivery, the PBS Adult Learning Satellite Service (ALSS) offers a wealth of educational programming to colleges, universities, schools and libraries nationwide. Institutions license the right to record programs as they're transmitted via satellite, and the resulting tape can be used for a variety of educational purposes.
