Shining Time Station has been on PBS for more than seven years and for the last six years we've been airing the same 65 episodes. We know that the age group watching the program certainly likes to see things repeated, but with wonderful new series like Theodore Tugboat, Wimzie's House and others now available, we decided that Shining Time Station has enjoyed "a good long innings" (as Thomas might say) and declined to renew the series for broadcast after March 31, 1998.
