Responsibilities

• Provides Banking and Cash Management services to the federal government.

• Maintains government accounting records Central Accounting System and provides interim reports.

• Prepares the "Public Accounts of Canada".

• Maintains timely Payment Services to recipients of all federal payments.

• Implements the Central Financial Management Reporting System (CFMRS) and the Common Departmental Financial System (CDFS) under the Financial Information Strategy (FIS).
