The Hazardous Materials Handling Facility is open regular workdays Monday to Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Chemical, radioactive and biological waste may be brought to the facility. The entrance is located on the first floor of Earth Sciences and Chemistry Rm. 150 (Next to Chemistry Stores). Waste is to be packaged and labelled as described in the table titled PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS. Unknown substances and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
Hazardous waste that cannot be delivered to the Hazardous Materials Handling Facility will be collected Tuesday afternoons at the loading docks listed below. Hazardous waste is to be brought to the locations at the times listed on the COLLECTION SCHEDULE. Pack according to instructions given in the table titled PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS. Hazardous materials left unattended will not be collected. Arrange collection from other buildings on Tuesday afternoon by calling Ext. 6991 or 6268 the week prior to collection. Unknown substances and household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
