Kukishin Ryu Spear Techniques

Kukishin Ryu spear techniques involves much more variations than the number of techniques listed below. Apart from the basic parrying and swirling actions, we have techniques like hitting adversary's body with a spearhead, striking at the wrist, slashing at the head just as we do in swordplay, and turning the weapon around in the air to cut the defender's neck. Moreover, there is a technique like holding up a spear over the head, thereby thrusting the spear downward to get down the defender on the ground and cut Tsukinowa. The technique is very rare one and shows profundities of Kukishin Ryu.
The part connecting a spearhead and a staff is wired together like Naginata; the length of the spearhead is about 36 cm to 45 cm; the total length of the spear is 270 cm.
