SystemC Day 2011 Feb 28 in San Jose

Join us at SystemC Day 2011 as we explore the latest advancements in sustainable and flexible solutions for system-level design. Co-located with the Design and Verification Conference, the day kicks-off with an update by OSCI Chairman Eric Lish on technical working group activities followed by a keynote by industry veteran Jim Hogan of Vista Ventures on “Navigating the SoC Era.” Technical user presentations at NASCUG 15 continue the day including an update on the upcoming release of the IEEE-1666-2011 Standard for SystemC. A co-hosted Town Hall lunch features officers from the Accellera and OSCI boards who will discuss technical collaboration and mutual areas of interest in a lively discussion format. Audience participation and dialog is encouraged. The afternoon features a technical tutorial, “Software-Driven Verification Using TLM-2.0 Virtual Platforms” with case study presentations from John Aynsley, Doulos; Bill Bunton, LSI Corp; Volkan Esen, Infineon Technologies; Trevor Wieman, Intel Corp; and David Black, XtremeEDA Corp.

Visit OSCI during DVCon at Booth 504 during open exhibit hours on March 1 and March 2, 2:00pm - 6:30pm. Visit the OSCI media site to see videos from SystemC Day 2010 including a keynote by Gary Smith.

"It is necessary for the industry to raise the level of abstraction from the modeling and architecture perspective," Lish said. "Platform level design is growing evermore complex and traditional design methods can't keep up. Abstraction is one area that can be addressed to make a significant difference. As an industry, we must come together to focus on system-level issues to help enable the growth of technologies. I want OSCI to do all it can to act as an enabler, providing the entire design ecosystem with a clear, accessible path to standards-based system-level design."... More »
