Policy and Research

As TI’s global movement matures, there is an increasing demand for in-depth analyses of the causes and consequences of corruption, using both qualitative and quantitative means. At the same time, there is an increasing need to translate the results of such research into concrete advocacy positions.

TI’s Policy and Research Department leads the organisation’s work in this area, coordinating a range of complementary policy and research products and activities. The following pages provide further detailed information of the department’s work in promoting access to anti-corruption expertise.

Here you will find details of TI’s key corruption measurement tools, including the Corruption Perceptions Index, the Bribe Payers Index, the Global Corruption Barometer and National Integrity System Country Studies.

You can also access TI’s online guide for anti-corruption practitioners - the TI Anti-Corruption Handbook: National Integrity Systems in Practice - as well as the renowned TI Source Book.

Issues of key concern in the fight against corruption can also be accessed here in the form of TI’s Policy Positions and Working Paper series.
