Chrissy Teigen on her post-baby body: I want other moms to 'feel better about themselves'
Chrissy Teigen is shamelessly showing off her “mom bod.”
The supermodel and relatable social media mom — who welcomed her second child, son Miles, on May 17 — posted a video on her stomach in a bathing suit on Twitter Monday.
“This is my new body,” Teigen said candidly.
The 32-year-old also tweeted a topless picture of herself standing next to husband, John Legend. The couple are vacationing on the island of Bali with their 2-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter, Luna.
The outspoken, cookbook author says her post was to show everyone what “regular ol’ bodies” look like.
She tweeted: “Instagram is crazy. I think it’s awesome people have killer bodies and are proud to show them off (I really do!!) but I know how hard it can be to forget what (for lack of a better word) regular ol’ bodies look like when everyone looks bonkers amazing.”
Teigen asked her 10 million Twitter followers not to confuse her “mom bod alert” with body confidence, acknowledging her own insecurities.
But, she said it’s an effort to help others feel more confident with their post-partum bodies.
She tweeted: “also I don’t really call this “body confidence” because I’m not quite there yet. I’m still super insecure. I’m just happy that I can make anyone else out there feel better about themselves!”
Teigen has posted several pictures of herself breastfeeding while on vacation, which has garnered positive and negative reactions from the Twitterverse.
Many fans praised her for normalizing breastfeeding, while critics said the mom-of-two should keep it off social media.
