The Arts
The arts are a central part of life at the University of Virginia. Through UVA Arts, the University fosters a vibrant community that supports creative expression across fine and performing arts and in a wide variety of settings. UVA hosts internationally known artists in residence and sponsors signature arts events, such as the Virginia Film Festival, which bring together visitors from across the nation and the world. From the grandeur of Old Cabell Hall to the modern setting of the Ruth Caplin Theater to the timeless ambience of The Fralin Museum, the arts unite the University, the wider community and supporters of the arts worldwide.
