The Estate has outstanding cultural significance because it represents a continuous association with the Thomas Archer family, providing an encapsulated record of six generations, and the changes to their lifestyle, from the time the land was first settled circa 1817 to the death of the last heir in 1994.

Woolmers Estate represents a rare and unique glimpse into Australian Colonial history circa 1817–1994
There are seven-self contained heritage cottages set in the grounds of Woolmers, offering bed and breakfast accommodation. The cottages were built in the 1840s and sleep from two to six people. They have been converted into private and comfortable, self-catering colonial accommodation.
