While most pages will display properly when viewed with Netscape, Opera, or another browser, this site utilizes DHTML and JavaScript which may not be recognized by or function as intended in these browsers. The information contained herein is believed to be correct, but due to year to year or production changes, differences in OEM parts suppliers, or conflicting information provided by a wide variety of respected sources, Automotive Mileposts cannot guarantee the accuracy of data provided herein. Please contact us by E-mail if you believe there are any errors in the information provided. We will be happy to investigate and update the information, if found to be incorrect.

Due to the limited availability of reliable documentation, and the conflicts that sometimes result, you are advised to seek assistance from a respected authority that you trust, and base your decision on the best information provided to you by that source, before making any purchase of automobiles, products, or services.

The information provided on Automotive Mileposts comes from various sources, including factory Shop Manuals, Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), Special Service Instructions (SSIs), service personnel training and troubleshooting handbooks, quality control documents, dealer sales literature, original brochures, owner's manuals, salesman data books, dealership order forms, comparison guides, contemporary magazine articles, and industry publications, among others.

In some instances, our data is derived from the first hand preservation, restoration, and repair of many of the makes and models covered on this site, dating back as far as 1972. We have no idea how many cars we've crawled through at salvages over the years, but it's a lot.

Industry insiders, factory supervisors and workers, automotive designers and suppliers, as well as others with first hand information also contribute to this site. We make every attempt to be as accurate and complete as possible, but we don't believe there is such a thing as an expert authority on these cars. Often, details were changed during production, and in many cases accurate records simply weren't kept.

For instance, our paint color and code data is derived from paint chip sheets, (often provided by more than one industry leader), original dealer showroom albums (the ones available when customers were deciding on colors to place an order for a new car), manufacturer paint color folders, etc. Our interior trim information is garnered from factory literature, parts books, old Detroit Trim reference books, as well as other resources.

We make every effort to verify our information through several reliable and reputable sources before publishing it online. Once published, we continue to verify information and data as new facts become known. And unlike a book or other published document, if we need to update something, it can be done quickly and easily. Incorrect or outdated information can become correct and fresh again.

Automotive Mileposts is designed for all classic car collectors, restorers, and old car enthusiasts, regardless of whether you're creating a show car that qualifies as a Senior Concourse Trailered vehicle, or you just enjoy driving and tinkering with old cars.
