ADC Software Seeding
Apple provides developers with pre-release software to allow for early compatibility testing, bug reporting, and technology adoption. To access the ADC Software Seeding area, follow these four steps:

one
Join the Apple Developer Connection
If you are not an ADC member, visit our Programs page to learn more.
two Get an ADC Software Seed Key
If you do not have a key, see "ADC Software Seed Key" below.
three Log In to the ADC Member site
Log In to the ADC Member site at http://connect.apple.com/.
four Download Seed Software
Go to the "Download Software" area of the ADC Member Site.
For more information, refer to the weekly ADC Seed Update e-mail or the FAQ.

ADC Seed CD
Each Select and Premier membership includes one monthly ADC Seed CD that is mailed separately to the account owner. The Seed CD generally contains the same software that is on the Download Software area of the ADC Member Site, however due to the time needed for worldwide delivery, the software on the Seed CD is often not as current as that on the Dowload Software area of the ADC Member Site.

ADC Seed Update e-mail
The "ADC Seed Update" is an e-mail that is customized and sent weekly to all ADC members who have an ADC Software Seed Key (see "ADC Software Seed Key" below). This e-mail includes personal data (from your account profile) and instructions for accessing the ADC Software Seed area. It will also include any announcements of new software posted to this area.

ADC Software Seed Key
An "ADC Software Seed Key" (formerly "FTP Key") is required to access the seed software. Each Select and Premier membership includes five ADC Software Seed keys that are assigned to the owner of the account. The owner of the Select or Premier account may then transfer the additional ADC Software Seed Keys to other ADC Online members at his/her company. The ADC Software Seed keys can be used as often as needed, and they are valid for the duration of the original owner's membership.

Download Software Seeds
After you have logged into the ADC Member site, click the Download Software link to view a list of the software seeds. Once you have decided which software seed to download, press the Download Button on the right hand side of the seed description. As long as you own a valid ADC Software Seed Key, you may access the Download Software area of the ADC Member Site as often as needed.
