The Google Developers Experts program is a global network of highly experienced technology experts, influencers and thought leaders who actively support developers, companies and tech communities by speaking at events, publishing content. These professionals actively contribute to and support the developer and startup ecosystems around the world, helping them build and launch highly innovative apps. Nearly 700 Experts represent 18+ Google technologies around the world!

  • Acknowledgement by Google

    All Experts are featured on the Directory page and have an individual public profile on the program website to help promote their relationship with Google.

  • Access to Google teams and projects

    Members have direct communication channels to reach out to subject matter experts at Google and ask questions about their work. They also get invited to participate in exclusive projects with Google like speaking or mentoring at Google Developers events, collaborate on content creation, etc.

  • Global network of professionals

    Experts are invited to join closed communities and mailing lists designed to help program members share learnings and best practices.

  • Invitations to events

    Once a year, Google sponsors the most active Experts from around the world to travel to one location and attend the Yearly Experts Summit. Program members also get priority invitations to relevant Google-led events, such as Google I/O.
To join the program, you need to be referred by a Google employee or by a Google Developers authorized partner. If you’re interested, reach out to your local Google contact and/or to an active Expert during events or gatherings to discuss your eligibility.
  • Be a technical expert in the subject area.
  • Display continued activity in the startup and/or developer ecosystem, by:
    • Being an influential and recognized speaker at large and small tech conferences.
    • Creating high quality technical content, including: tutorials, code samples, educational books, blog posts and videos.
    • Mentoring tech entrepreneurs, startups and developers.
  • Have the ability to articulate clearly and provide meaningful advice to others.
