If you no longer want to manage a business, you can remove it from your Google My Business account.
You won’t be able to manage the business directly through Google Search or Maps, but the business may continue to show up on Google.
Important:
- The removal of a business is permanent. To manage the business again, you must reverify it.
- You can only remove a business on the Google My Business website.
Remove an individual Business Profile
- On your computer, sign in to Google My Business.
- Sign in with the same account you used to sign up for Google My Business.
- To remove a single profile, click on it.
- In the menu on the left, click Info.
- Click Close or remove this listing

Remove multiple Business Profiles
- On your computer, sign in to Google My Business.
- Make sure you're logged in with the account you used to sign up for Google My Business.
- On your home page, select one or more locations that you want to remove.
- On the right, click Actions

- If you get an error message, you can remove each location individually.
Remove a business from Maps
You can request to have a business removed from Maps if the business:
- Never existed
- Isn't eligible to show on Google
- Has the wrong address
Even if you don’t manage a business, you can request to remove the business.
- On your computer, go to Google Maps.
- Sign in with the same account you used to sign up for Google My Business.
- On your map, click the business you want to remove.
- On the left, click Suggest an edit.
- Click Close or remove.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
After you submit the request, it goes through the review process. You may get a status email with follow-up questions from our review team. If approved, the business is removed from Maps.

Update your business address
Instead, update the address in Google My Business so customers can go to your new address. You may be asked to reverify the address.
After you update your address, you can enter your opening date and post from your new address.
If you want to update an address but you don't own the Google My Business profile, you can request ownership from the current owner.
You can also report incorrect addresses on Google Maps.
