Create a task in Gmail
You can create, assign, edit, complete and delete group Tasks in Gmail. As a member of the space, you can create and manage group Tasks within a space. Tasks will appear in the space where they were created and in the assignee’s personal Tasks list. Creating a task and any major updates such as assigning or completing the task will notify everyone through the space. Tip: All spaces and their members can create and manage all Tasks. Send a chat message in Gmail
You can message someone through: A personal Gmail account A Google Workspace account used at work or school, if their organization allows it Chat or classic Hangouts You can send a direct message to someone outside your organization, but you can't include external people in an internal group message. A badge by a person’s name shows they're outside your organization. To message back, the recipient must first accept your request.
