You can check Google Maps for details about upcoming events like flights, restaurant reservations, or car rentals.
This information might appear:
- In your search results
- In the suggestions below the search box
- With details about a place
- On your map
- On "Your places"
See info about your personal content
You can see your related personal info by searching for a place.
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Search for a place.
- You'll see information about the place, including info about your event.
Hide your personal content
Hide a single item
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Search for a place.
- Scroll down to the event.
- Next to the event you want to hide, click More
.
- Choose what you want to hide. You’ll see:
- Hide this event
- Hide this reservation
- Hide this information
Hide all your personal content
If you don't want to see your information in Google Maps, turn off your Web & App Activity.
If you turn off Web & App Activity, the following will stop appearing in search results and on your map:
- Your recent searches
- Your home and work addresses
- Info from your Google Contacts
- Info from Gmail
Turning off Web & App Activity won't turn off:
- Info from custom maps
- Starred or saved places
- Places rated or reviewed by you
See nearby events
If local events are happening nearby, they sometimes affect your travel routes or commute times. Google Maps will let you know about these events with update cards. These cards will go away when they're no longer relevant.
How Maps knows about your personal content
Information about your events and personal content comes from your Gmail and your Google Account.
- Only you can see information about your personal content.
- You have to be signed into Google with Web & App Activity turned on.
